Usherwood Office Technology has appointed Ken Stinson as President.
In his new assignments with the company, Stinson will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, strategic planning of the organization, and serve as a leader in the company.
In the six years prior to Stinson’s with Usherwood, he served as the company’s vice president of sales and worked with the leadership team to increase the company’s revenue by 49% in his time in the position. Stinson also helped fuel the company’s expansion into New England by adding seven new offices and an Odyssey distribution center in Worcester, Massachusetts.
“Ken is the first non-family member to become president of Usherwood Office Technology and our family cannot be proud of our decision,” Lou Usherwood, CEO of the company said. “Ken has a comprehensive view of our industry and a strong sense of what it takes to succeed in the IT field. Our goal is to double our revenue in the next five years, and Ken is the person to lead us down that path. He has earned the respect of our employees and we are excited about future growth with Ken as our core.” .
Prior to joining Usherwood, Stinson had over 12 years of experience in the office technology industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from State University at Buffalo.
He lives in East Amherst with his wife Jane and three children: Kenny (16), 13-year-old twins, Cole and Trey. In his spare time, Stinson enjoys playing golf, basketball and also coaching the junior baseball team.
Besides its headquarters in Syracuse, Usherwood also has New York branch sales and service offices in Binghamton, Utica, Watertown, Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Jamestown, Potsdam and Plattsburgh. It also has locations outside of New York that include Burlington and Vermont; Hartford, Connecticut; Boston, Massachusetts; Providence, Rhode Island; western Lebanon, New Hampshire; and Auburn, Mass.
