Will Fortnite and Apple come to an agreement? The state of Apple vs Epic Lawsuit in 2021

An Epic Games vs. Apple ruling regarding Fortnite was passed earlier this year. With 2021 coming to a close, gamers may be wondering how long it will take before they can play the game on their iPhone and other Apple devices.

The verdict in the courtroom was fundamentally inconclusive about the return of Fortnite Mobile. This is why fans are wondering if Epic Games and Apple can reach a deal soon. This begs the question about the current status of the Apple vs Epic Lawsuit case in 2021.

Fortnite Chapter 3 is just around the corner, and many players don’t have computers or consoles to play the battle royale game. Naturally, a lot of players are counting on the future of the Apple vs Epic Lawsuit issue in 2021. This is the only way they can play the game, when it comes to iOS devices.

Could Fortnite Mobile return to iPhones (iOS devices) in 2021?

Most people saw the verdict in the Epic Games vs Apple dispute largely as a win for the tech giant. The court left it up to Apple to decide whether to allow Fortnite to return to its devices. Unfortunately, the tech giant decided that it would leave this decision after its appeal by US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers.

The appeal will not be decided for several months, and even then, Apple wants Epic to agree to its original terms if it wants to bring Fortnite back on iOS devices. This certainly seems unlikely, as Epic Games hopes to score a win in the mutual appeal.

As expected, Apple will not allow Epic to reinstate its developer account again until the court’s ruling is final and Epic cannot appeal. How long: It’s unknown but Tim Sweeney is expecting about 5 years. https://t.co/uL0zgLUXJh

Unfortunately, this means that Fortnite Mobile will not return to the iPhone (iOS devices) in 2021. In fact, there is a good chance that they may not even return in 2022.

iPhone players may not be able to play Fortnite Chapter 3

It looks like iPhone gamers will have to wait a long time before they see Fortnite mobile return to the App Store. There is no way Apple will agree to a lower commission on in-app purchases in a battle royale game. On the other hand, Epic Games will not agree to give in to its claims that Apple will create a monopoly.

Unfortunately, it is the players who suffer due to the conflict between Apple and Epic Games. They hope the appeal will happen soon, so they can get some information about the future of Fortnite mobile on Apple. For now, it’s clear that no updates will come in time for Chapter 3.
